DECOSPAN - Decopanel Veneered Board

DECOSPAN - Decopanel - product group comprising veneered panels. When ordering a veneer panel, it is important that the right base and backing are selected

1. Top layer: The veneer chosen in step 1

2. Board: Choice of Chipboard, MDF board, Block board or Plywood in a range of dimensions and thicknesses

3. Backing: Decospan always recommends adding a backing to your veneered panel. The backing also needs to be the same thickness as the veneer sheet on the front. This gives the panel the maximum stability. Noyeks Newmans will be pleased to help you choose the right backing. An overview is given below:

  • choice of 3 quality grades: Architectural, Classic, Commercial
  • B: same type of wood as the veneer chosen for the front, without open defects. Sapwood may be used
  • C: same type of wood as the veneer chosen for the front, but open defects (such as open joints) are permissible. Sapwood may again be used
  • Red: okoumé rotary veneer
  • Blind: whatever suitable wood type is available
  • Paper: for some applications, you can choose paper as the backing. This does mean that warping will be possible

CORE SELECTION:

 a) CHIPBOARD

noyeks-panel-products-kitchens-doors-decThese are high-quality base boards that are made of wood chips. Veneered chipboard panels are a versatile basic material with a good price-performance ratio. This material is mostly used for a range of furniture and kitchen applications. The HPLT pressing procedure* used by Decospan guarantees the best quality for any type of panel. It produces perfectly flat panels with no visible glue. The Decospan Pure Wood Charter also lets us guarantee that our panels are produced with wood from sustainably managed forests.

b) MDF BOARD

noyeks-panel-products-kitchens-doors-decThese are high-quality base boards that are made of wood fibres. Very fine structured wood is used as the raw material, producing a very uniform board that is extremely suitable for fine interior work. Moreover, the edges of these panels can remain unfinished and the end result is still very attractive. The HPLT pressing procedure* used by Decospan guarantees the best quality for any type of panel. It produces perfectly flat panels with no visible glue. The Decospan Pure Wood Charter also lets us guarantee that our panels are produced with wood from sustainably managed forests.

c) BLOCK BOARD

A standard block board is a panel with a solid wood core, which may then be glued and overlaid with a cross grain rotary veneer or with chipboard or MDF. We generally use pine for the core, but can on request also deliver block boards with a poplar core. The specific product structure used for block boards means that the finished product may be labelled as 'solid wood'. It takes screws almost as well as solid wood, and other working parameters are as good. The HPLT pressing procedure* used by Decospan guarantees the best quality for any type of panel. It produces perfectly flat panels with no visible glue.

 d) PLYWOOD BOARD

Depending on the kind of wood and the type of gluing, this kind of panel can be a suitable solution for structural and building applications. The HPLT pressing procedure* used by Decospan guarantees the best quality for any type of panel. It produces perfectly flat panels with no visible glue. (* High Pressure Low Temperature)
